Established in 2017 in Vancouver, Canada, Dairyu Dream Plan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to mental health. Founder Ma Dechang observed during his studies in Canada that students studying abroad were more prone to anxiety and depression compared to students in their home country. The primary objective of initiating this nonprofit organization was to aid overseas students in better adapting to new environments and learning stress-relief techniques. While wishes for physical health are commonplace, wishes for mental health are rare. Mental health often goes overlooked, although numerous counseling services both domestically and internationally cater to students. In this digitally advanced society, students seek counseling only when they already suffer from psychological issues. Hence, the aim of Dairyu Dream Plan is to educate everyone on stress alleviation, anxiety reduction, and depression mitigation.
